Rebecca, thanks for increasing awareness of the Circassian genocide. My mother's father is a Circassian who came to the US from Kabardino-Balkaria (by way of Germany), and my father's side is also Kabarday, but from the Golan Heights. It's a fascinating and tragic history. While I'm not one to live in the past, I do believe it's important we learn from it and do everything we can not to repeat the darker chapters.
